Joan W. Wadler is an associate in the law firm of Wetherington Hamilton, P.A. Her practice concentrates on Collections and Commercial Litigation and includes attending various court proceedings and mediations, as well as handling garnishments, levying on vehicles, surplus claims, etc.  Ms. Wadler previously practiced in the area of residential foreclosure, having represented various financial institutions in various court proceedings as well as mediations. She enjoys zealously representing her clients, with an eye towards details.

Ms. Wadler was born in Tampa and raised in Dade City, Florida. She has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1991. Volunteering her time is a priority for Ms. Wadler, who is an active member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, having previously served on its diversity committee and currently serving on its 5k Pro Bono committee. In addition, she enjoys volunteering her time at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, where she serves as a member of its Past President’s council, as well as serving as a Past President Representative on its board of trustees periodically.  She continues to serve in several significant committee leadership roles for the congregation, including chairing The Amy Gail Buchman, Congregation Schaarai Zedek Preschool committee, and makes herself available to officers, clergy, and staff of the congregation as needed. In addition, Ms. Wadler is honored to be Congregation Schaarai Zedek’s 2020 designated Honoree of the Tampa Jewish Federation’s Bobbe Karpay Women of Distinction program which celebrates and recognizes women dedicated to Jewish community organizations in the Tampa Bay area. Ms. Wadler also serves as a board member of the Harry & Jeannette Weinberg Village Assisted Living Residences.

Ms. Wadler enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is an avid dog lover and especially enjoys “hanging out” with the family chihuahua, Papi.
